A visit from Aunt Amy and Uncle Andy!
My brother and sister came to visit us and meet their niece for the very first time! They traveled for a little over a week in Italy and Greece and then stopped over in England for the last few days of their vacation. It was so great to see them - hadn't seen them since Christmas and of course great to have them meet Anna. We took them to a few of our favorite pubs and of course took Amy shopping - haha! She was all about getting souvenirs! Here are a few pictures!
We picked Andy and Amy up at the airport around 5 - got home and got them settled then headed to our favorite pub for dinner - the Bulls Head in Repton. |
Yes, there were LOTS of leftovers! |
Good morning! |
Anna hanging out with Uncle Andy |
Went to lunch at the Queen's Head - great little pub in Long Eaton |
Andy & Amy enjoying a pint |
Dave and I and little Anna in her stroller to my left. |
Next stop was to the oldest pub in England - Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem - in Nottingham! |
Sisters! And Anna! |
Walking around the Nottingham city centre |
Andy in front of the Pit & Pendulum Pub - fun fact - the bathroom is hidden behind a trap door disguised as a bookcase! Pretty funny to watch people try to find it for the first time! |
Amy making a phone call! She was quick to get out as it smelled like urine and cigarettes in there! |
Jamie Oliver's restaurant where Dave and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary earlier in the month (didn't have a camera with us then, so we thought we'd recapture the moment!) |
Robin Hood |
Took Amy and Andy to our favorite French restaurant in Derby - Le Bistrot Pierre |
Group shot! |
Amy and Anna after bath time! |
A little shopping at Barton Marina |
Pride Park - I of course had to show them where the Rams play! |
Anna was really tired from all the shopping - fell asleep right on Amy's shoulder in the store! |
We thought this was funny and had to get a photo! |
Having Andy and Amy visit was so great and I am so glad they were able to make the trip to see us and meet Anna! Anna is one very loved little girl! It meant a lot that they spent the time and money to come out and see us! Love you both!
