Our little Anna is already rolling over!

About a week ago, I was cleaning the house and had Anna laying on her back on her Baby Einstein play mat, playing with the little toys on it. I was in another room and turned on the vacuum for a few minutes to finish up and once I turned it off, could hear Anna crying. I ran over to her and realized - she had rolled over all by herself, and I missed it! Well, last night, Dave and I were catching up after he got home from work and we both witnessed her rolling over!  So, this morning, I was determined to catch her on camera and...SUCCESS!  It didn't take long to catch it!  She's a pro now - watch out, she'll be crawling before we know it!  Proud Mama!  On a side note, she is also teething (which is why she has half her hand in her mouth!) and "talking" a lot!  Enjoy!

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy first Father's Day to my wonderful hubby!!  Since becoming parents to our amazing little Anna in March, Dave and I have done a lot of growing and adjusting and I think we've done pretty darn well!  I cannot imagine our lives without Anna - she makes our family complete.  Dave is such a great dad and is so good with her.  She is so lucky to have a dad like him and I think I can speak for him when I say, he is lucky to have her as well!  

Happy first Father's Day to my amazing husband!  We love you!

Also, happy Father's Day to my Dad - I love you Dad!  You are truly the most amazing father a girl could ask for and I don't know what I would do without you.  You are a great father, husband, grandfather, friend and mentor.

A visit from Aunt Amy and Uncle Andy!

My brother and sister came to visit us and meet their niece for the very first time!  They traveled for a little over a week in Italy and Greece and then stopped over in England for the last few days of their vacation.  It was so great to see them - hadn't seen them since Christmas and of course great to have them meet Anna.  We took them to a few of our favorite pubs and of course took Amy shopping - haha!  She was all about getting souvenirs!  Here are a few pictures!

We picked Andy and Amy up at the airport around 5 - got home and got them settled then headed to our favorite pub for dinner - the Bulls Head in Repton.

I had been meaning to take a picture of the Royal Derby Hospital so I can show Anna one day where she was born - thanks to Amy for capturing this from the car (took a few tries and a couple trips around the round-a-bout, but we got it!)

Having Andy and Amy visit was so great and I am so glad they were able to make the trip to see us and meet Anna!  Anna is one very loved little girl!  It meant a lot that they spent the time and money to come out and see us!  Love you both!

Anna: 3 months old!

Anna is three months old!!!!  Time is just flying by!  By the way, how great is this picture!  =)  She had her second round of shots last week - I'm not sure who it was worse for, her or me!  Poor thing - she was screaming - and it was the kind of inconsolable scream that just makes you want to cry!  She was fine about five minutes after that, but still! 

Anna is definitely into her three month clothes now and they are so much cuter than her newborn onesies she's been wearing, by the way!  She is also starting to teethe - it's hilarious watching her try to "scratch" her gums - she literally tries to fit her whole fist in her tiny little mouth!  We finally found a pacifier that also has a teether on it (she can't yet hold onto the teething rings she has).  Hopefully that will help with the itchiness she's feeling.  

Anna is all smiles all the time and it is the most amazing thing to see!  It just makes my heart melt - what's better than that!?!  I am also attaching a video of Anna smiling and "talking!"  She's very talkative and inquisitive.  She also follows us around the room with her eyes and is starting to grasp and hold onto her toys!  I know I said this before, but Anna really does grow and change every day!  Also, her crib is now in her own room (was in ours for the first 9 weeks) and she sleeps about six hours straight, then I nurse her and put her back down and she usually sleeps for another three.  Also, we have had two nights where she slept all the way through the night!  Well, I hope you enjoy the video!  We look forward to seeing everyone in a few short months!  Love you all!
